It's Going To Be Okay.

Written By Sivuyile Tshalana.

Life has taught you lessons that you never thought you will ever learn. We're all going through something, to others it's visible and certain individuals its inner scars. Even though you may feel alone at times when things don't go your way. We hope that this piece reminds you how far you've come and that there's someone who understands your pain.

It's Going To Be Okay.
You don't have a need nor urgency to wake up in the morning.
You just want to sleep and never wake up.
You cry day in and day out.
You procrastinate all day and lazy around.
You ask yourself all the times why this had to happen to me?
What did I do to deserve this unhealthy life?
You're not happy with yourself, your family, friends and your relationship.
You have anger issues and you take it out on innocent people.
Truth be told, you just feel like giving up in life.
You constantly blame everyone in your life, for all that has caused your life feel like it's a standstill.
To make things worse you like to compare your life with other people. You feel cheated as all your friends and school mates have graduated.
They own businesses, others are doing their dream jobs and they have all the luxuries that you can only dream of.
They post on social media about their accomplishments.

It's Going To Be Okay.
You barely afford to even buy data and you're behind on your dreams and your vision.
You feel like the black sheep of the family.
You feel worthless.
You can't even get money to pay for your studies.
You owe other people money.
Your family calls you a loser.
Since you don't contribute to the family financially.
You don't have a voice in family gatherings.
You constantly told what to do with your life and how to do it?
No-one has sat down with you and asked you what do you want in life? What are your goals?
No-one cares if you're alive, hurting or even happy.
You just stuck in a life that you not proud of.
Every little move you're doing trying to change your life, something always goes wrong or you end up not getting the desired outcome.

It's Going To Be Okay.
At the moment you're homeless, you don't even have proper clothes on and you're literary dying of starvation.
People laugh at you as you beg on the streets.
You have a sickness that's killing you day by day and you ashamed to tell anyone as they might leave you alone.
Your doctor just told you that you don't have a lot of years to live in this life.
You're hiding a secret from your loved ones.
You're unemployed and you've tried by all means to seek work opportunities but nothing is coming up.
You just lost a job opportunity because you didn't have money to even travel to the interview.
Some interviews you go to you get rejected because of your ethnic group. Maybe you didn't want to sleep your way to the job.
You get rejected in a workplace because of your morals, beliefs and cultural practices.
Your neighbours hate you and you have no idea the reasons behind their motives.
You get death threats.

It's Going To Be Okay.
You just lost your loved one.
You feel helpless, hopeless and fearful.
Covid19 has ruined your life.
Your partner cheated on you.
You're going through a divorce.
Your children abandoned you.
You're a child of rape.
Your parents gave away for adoption and you now looking for your real parents.
You have abused your whole life by people you know and strangers.
You have been raped.
You just got retrenched by your employers.
Your girlfriend is pregnant, but you not ready to be a parent.
You want her to do abortion.
You want to be a parent, unfortunately, you're infertile.
You're hanging in a job you hate with your whole life but you doing it because it pays the bills.
You underestimate your own goals and dreams.
You lack self-confidence, self-love and self-esteem.

It's Going To Be Okay.
You despise life and everything that's living and walking on it.
You live to inflict pain on other people since you're bleeding inside. You've been broken many times and you find it necessary to make other people's lives a living hell.
You got all the money in the world, but you regret every decision you've to get it as it was illegal.
Some people are crying because of you. They wish you nothing but death as you've taken what they valued the most in their lives.
You just lost your house, car and you've filed for bankruptcy.
You've failed more than you've achieved.

Always remember that what you're going through isn't permanent. It's a phase in your life that you have to go through. As painful as it may feel but remember joy comes after pain. Don't allow yourself to be comfortable in pain but keep on finding better ways of moving forward. It's not easy to forgive and forget, but it's possible. You don't want to live your life in misery and regrets. Wondering what if you did something differently, now is the time to do it. All that matters is taking that step forward in the right direction. Also, get professional help if you can't handle the pain anymore. Don't inflict more pain on yourself. Just remember it's going to be okay. You may not see that now but in no time you will see it. Don't you ever give up! Don't give up today or tomorrow. Stay extra woke.

It's going to be okay.
